🍃 FIRST SIGNS 🍃

1- Sticky sap on the leaves and/or on the soil under the plant

2- Discolored, deformed or dying leaves

3- Small, clear/translucent creatures with a dark brown center or white and mealy.


4- Creatures found along the central vein, on the upper and/or lower surface of the leaf

🍃 ISOLATE THE PLANT 🍃

1- Clean your plant with a cotton swab soaked in 60%-70% rubbing alcohol diluted in water, on the top and bottom of ALL the leaves as well as on ALL the stems .


2- Prune the heavily infected branches.


3- Spray the entire plant with a neem oil solution.

4- Change the soil if your plant is heavily infected.

5-Repeat steps 1-3 every week until the signs disappear completely.

🍃 ABOUT SCALPEL MITES 🍃

There are approximately 8,000 species.

They feed on the leaves, stems and branches of your plant.

The soft scale insect secretes a sticky substance called honeydew. The hard scale insect does not secrete honeydew.

1- Small spider webs

2- Dry, yellowed and/or curly leaves

3- They develop on the underside of the leaves, between the veins

🍃ISOLATE THE PLANT🍃

1- Carefully clean each sheet and its folds with a powerful jet of water.

2- Wipe the leaves.

3- Spider mites do not like humidity; therefore, place your plant in a humid place.

4- Repeat steps 1-2 every three days for two weeks. Then, do it weekly for a month to ensure the treatment is effective.

In case of a heavy spider mite infestation, you can use a neem oil solution or natural predators such as ladybugs.
